Online Nikah Services

Alhamdulillah, we’ve performed online nikahs for couples all across the world. It doesn’t matter if people are together in the same place or spread across the world; the online nikah facility enables you to get married with ease. 

An online nikah is no different to a nikah ceremony conducted in person, with the exception that it’s officiated remotely.  All parties, including the witnesses, need to have a stable internet connection and be prepared to appear in front of the camera for the duration of the service. A poor or glitchy internet connection will render this service unavailable. Furthermore, the religious eligibility requirements remain the same for a nikah in person.  We conduct these checks beforehand to ensure we are able and happy to perform the nikah.  

Muslim scholars have differing views on the permissibility of online nikahs. Our position is that they are permissible and valid in the shariah. This position is supported by Shaykh bin Baz and Shaykh Abdul Ilah Mazrou as stated below: 

Shaykh bin Baz states:

توجه الموقع بهذا السؤال إلى الشيخ عبد العزيز بن عبد الله بن باز رحمه الله فأجاب بأنّ ما ذُكر إذا كان صحيحا ( ولم يكن فيه تلاعب ) فإنه يحصل به المقصود من شروط عقد النّكاح الشّرعي ويصحّ العقد والله أعلم

Shaykh Abdul Ilah Mazrou states:

عقد الزواج عبر الإنترنت عبدالإله بن مزروع المزروع فلا ريب أن عقد النكـاح عـبر وسـائل الاتـصال الحديثـة والتـي يمكـن مـن خلالهـا الحديث بين الطرفين أن ذلك يعد في حكم المجلس الواحـد مـن المعـاصرين ولم  أر من نـازع في ذلـك ، وعـلى ذلـك صـدر قـرار مجمـع الفقـه بخـصوص وسـائل الاتـصال الحديثة والذي جاء فيه:( إذا تم التعاقد بين طرفين في  (الأصلية المقررة لدى الفقهاء وقـت واحـد ، وهمـا في مكـانين متباعدين، وينطبق ذلك على الهاتف، واللاسلكي، فإن التعاقد بينهما يعتبر تعاقـدًا بـين حاضرين، وتطبق على هذه الحالة الأحكام ص ٨
