Interfaith Nikah

Alhamdulillah, we offer an interfaith nikah service in line with established fiqhi principles and rulings. Interfaith nikahs are only permitted between Muslim men and women from the ahlul kitab, being either Christian or Jewish women.  Any iteration of an interfaith nikah beyond that dispensation is not regarded as a shar’i nikah and is not permissible in accordance with our understanding. 

Over the years, we’ve conducted numerous interfaith nikahs following consultation with the bride and groom.  We work with couples to ensure the nikah is wholesome and inclusive for all guests and family members attending, especially non-Muslim family members and guests. Alhamdulillah, we’ve received overwhelmingly positive feedback for all the interfaith nikahs we’ve performed, the support we’ve offered and the sensitivity with which we’ve handled the entire process. 

Upon completion of an interfaith nikah, we provide the bride and groom with two documents, one being their certificate of nikah and the second being our fiqhi position on the validity of an interfaith nikah.
